Arizona. Known for the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and its bustling cities, it’s a must for anyone traveling across the country. A southwestern state with a population of nearly 8 million people, it’s filled with natural and man-made attractions.

With hot temperatures throughout the year, it’s the ultimate destination for those looking to relax away from the colder temperatures of nearby states.

If you have it on your travel wishlist, but don’t know which city to travel to first – here is a list of the top cities to visit in the state!

Phoenix

Starting off this list is Arizona’s capital, Phoenix. With over 1 million residents, it’s known for its luxurious spa resorts, golf courses, high-end restaurants, and nightclubs. Home to the University of Phoenix, it’s a popular destination to visit for those of all ages.

Top attractions:

Phoenix Zoo

Home to over 1,400 animals, Phoenix Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country. Featuring giraffes, Sumatran tigers and more, it’s a beautiful and extraordinary attraction that’s a must-see. Located within Papago Park, it’s also within easy reach of the Papago Golf Course, Desert Botanical Garden, and other attractions.

Camelback Mountain

This landmark is iconic. Granting panoramic views across the city, it’s a popular place to visit for hikers and nature-enthusiasts. Reaching 1,200 feet, there are two trails you can do – the Cholla and Echo Canyon. It does, however, get very popular during the weekend, so it might be a good idea to hike during the week.
